And... So it Begins
Updated: Feb 4
Our most recent video provided the announcement that we are going to be heading to Alaska. Our plan is to be there long enough to get a feel for it, before we have the kids or any family members out there to see us. Right now, we are shooting for a 4-6 month stay.
I want to get a lot of planning out for you via video, but for now, I wanted to get a post out, because we would really LOVE feedback from everyone who has anything to say about this.
We will be back in the Milwaukee area for Christmas, so we will head out from there. We want to make a stay in Fargo North Dakota, Billings Montana, and Wallace Idaho before heading straight North into Canada. Of course, right now travel into Canada to get through to Alaska is very regulated, which is a bit disappointing, but we are hoping to be able to stay long enough that our drives happen on the weekends.
Here is where we would love your feedback and expertise: Our visit to Alaska will include stays in Juneau, Anchorage, and Fairbanks. We haven't determined yet how long we will be in each location, but we need to know what things we must absolutely do while we are there. If you know of a great activity or attraction somewhere between these cities, or think there is another place we should visit, please let us know those as well. We will have Piper with us for the entirety, so that automatically makes some things more difficult, but we will have family out for portions of the trip so if there is something we simply can't miss, we will make it work. I am really looking forward to hearing from you all, even if you haven't been but have heard of great things, all feedback is welcome and appreciated, please let the commenting begin!
